Jordan hits Belfast
Superstar glamour model Jordan is usually
pictured falling out of taxis after evenings out in nightclubs or
mixing with the A list of celebrates across Britain– but she
took things a step further at the weekend when she got mixed up
with two of Ireland best known kickboxers.
The glamour queen was in Belfast for an appearance at the Big Boyz
Toys & Gadget Show in the Kings Hall on Sunday (October 12)
and on arrival made a bee-line for two of her sporting heroes –
Belfast’s kickboxing champions Billy Murray and Gary Hamilton.
“Jordan’s a big fan of kickboxing,” said four
time World Champ Murray. “She talked for a while with Gary
and myself about the ins and outs of the sport. She’s very
knowledge about kickboxing moves. She posed with Gary’s belt.
He was delighted to oblige.”
“She’s very quiet and polite in real life. She wasn’t
at all like I expected,” said Hamilton. “She was very
beautiful, but she wasn’t like a demanding diva.”
Jordan almost didn’t make her date in Belfast after staff
at Luton Airport failed to recognise her and refused to let her
board her flight. Jordan had forgotten photographic ID, essential
now for all flyers. Staff at the easyjet check-in desk stuck to
the letter of the law and would not let her board.
“It was very embarrassing,” said an insider. “Jordan
was travelling under her real name, Katie Price. She made an honest
mistake forgetting her ID. But even though some of the staff recognised
her and knew that she was Jordan, she wasn’t allowed to board.
She didn’t want to make a song and dance about it, so she
made no fuss, went and got ID and waited for another flight.”
Jordan may be making a return visit to Belfast on December 22.
“She’s keen to get over for the Kickmas Box at the Ulster
Hall,” said Murray. “Being Jordan, she has a full diary
but she’s going to try make time for the Christmas show. It’ll
add an extra punch to what already looks like being an explosive
night, Ive contact Jordan's manager since we met, so lets hope she
can make it.”
The Kickmas Box will see WKN lightweight champion Hamilton share
top billing with Belfast’s amateur world Champ Gary Noade.
He will be defending his world welterweight crown.
A full under-card pits the best of local talent against a host of
European rising stars.
As a special Christmas treat for Irish fight fans, there will be
a limited number of ‘KICKmas Box’ family tickets available.
A group of four - Two adults and two children - can pick up a ticket
for just £25 – that’s a 50% saving. Tickets otherwise
